Practice
Kay A. Williams joined Cooney, Scully and Dowling
in 2007. She practices in the areas of not-for-profit
and for-profit corporate law and civil litigation.
Professional
Experience
Ms. Williams has worked on a wide range of matters
in the areas of corporate compliance, tax, and
medical malpractice defense. Ms. Williams is involved
in the representation of non-profit corporations
including the Archdiocese of Hartford, the Sisters
of Saint Joseph and Catholic Charities.
Professional
and Civic Activities
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Williams worked
as a consultant for a national accounting firm,
providing financial restructuring and bankruptcy
advisory services to corporate clients. Ms. Williams
received both her Juris Doctor, and a Certificate
in Tax Studies from the University of Connecticut.
While attending law school, she served as the
Administrative Editor of the Connecticut Journal
of International Law. Ms. Williams is a member
of the Connecticut and New York State Bar Associations.
